Your home should be a place of ease, independence, and safety — especially in the spaces you use every day. With that in mind, we’re honored to help you transform your bathroom with a HISA-approved, barrier-free shower system that’s thoughtfully designed to meet your needs today and in the future.
Whether you’re seeking improved accessibility, planning ahead, or simply upgrading for comfort, this renovation blends function with style — providing a safer bathing experience without sacrificing quality or aesthetics.
Here’s how we’ll bring your new shower space to life:
Step 1: Clean Demolition with Dust Protection
We’ll begin by carefully removing the existing tub, surrounding wall panels, and plumbing valve. All debris will be hauled away, and a HEPA dust collection system will be used throughout the process to reduce airborne particles and keep your home clean and comfortable.
Step 2: Install Barrier-Free Shower System (HISA-Compliant)
To prepare the area, we’ll install moisture-resistant wall backing and reinforce the structure to support future safety features. A barrier-free, slip-resistant shower pan will be installed at floor level to allow safe and easy entry — with a newly relocated drain to accommodate the updated layout.
The shower walls will be finished with a durable, white acrylic surround, installed floor-to-ceiling, and the window (if present) will be wrapped in matching material for a seamless look. All seams will be expertly sealed to ensure long-lasting performance.
This shower system meets HISA guidelines for accessibility and safety, making it ideal for veterans and others with mobility needs.
Step 3: Accessible Plumbing & Fixtures
We’ll install a new accessible shower valve with both a fixed shower head and a handheld wand, allowing for flexible and comfortable bathing. Fixtures are finished in a modern brushed nickel.
Step 4: Safety & Comfort Additions
To ensure maximum usability and peace of mind, we’ll include:
-
A folding shower seat securely mounted with reinforced wall backing
-
Three ADA-compliant grab bars, also mounted into reinforced supports
-
A floating corner shelf in a clean white finish for convenient storage
Step 5: Enclosure & Final Touches
To complete the space, a clear sliding glass shower door will be installed. It features one fixed panel and one sliding door, with a spot-resistant coating to minimize maintenance.
