We began the transformation with a careful demolition—removing the existing tub, wall surround, and valve system. To protect the home during this phase, a HEPA dust collection system was used, minimizing airborne particles and keeping the workspace clean.
Next, the foundation for the new shower was built. Moisture-resistant greenboard was installed on the walls, along with secure backing for future safety accessories. A spacious, barrier-free shower pan was set into place—slip-resistant and designed for easy entry. It also included a collapsible foam threshold and a curtain clip to help contain water within the shower space.
The new three-wall acrylic surround featured a crisp white finish with elegant gray marbling, blending timeless style with low-maintenance durability. Every joint and seam was professionally sealed for long-term protection.
The upgraded shower system included a modern shower head with a convenient handheld wand, offering both function and flexibility. Safety remained a top priority, with a grab bar securely mounted using reinforced backing, ensuring peace of mind with every use.
Two corner shelves were added for easy access to bath essentials, and a teak folding shower seat was installed—perfect for added comfort during daily routines. A thoughtful discount was provided as a gesture of gratitude to the homeowner for their service, making the seat even more accessible.
To complete the transformation, a sleek sliding glass door was installed. The clear glass panels featured a spot-resistant interior finish, making it easy to maintain clarity and shine with simple upkeep.
