Every bathroom has a story — and this one was ready for a fresh new chapter. What began as a dated and crowded space transformed into something clean, modern, and designed with comfort and safety in mind.
We kicked off the project by removing everything that had overstayed its welcome: the old shower pan, tub surround, glass enclosure, concrete under the shower, and plumbing fixtures. With every bit of debris hauled away, we made sure to use our HEPA dust collection system to keep the rest of the home clean and virtually dust-free during the process.
Once we cleared the space, it was time to build something better. We prepped the walls with moisture-resistant backing and installed sturdy support behind the scenes to anchor safety features later on. A beautiful mosaic-tiled, barrier-free shower pan was placed — not only slip-resistant but also a big step forward in making the space more accessible. It was paired with a three-wall acrylic surround in a warm travertine color that wrapped around the space like a spa. Everything was sealed tightly to ensure long-term durability and ease of maintenance.
The new shower and tub valves brought a polished, coordinated look while offering improved control and reliability. For extra comfort, we added a handheld wand in the shower — a thoughtful touch for both relaxation and accessibility.
Safety was a major part of this transformation. We installed three ADA-compliant grab bars in key areas: one in the shower, one by the tub, and one near the toilet. Each one was installed with heavy-duty backing so they’re ready to provide steady support when it matters most. And to make the shower even more welcoming, we added a floating teak seat — sturdy, foldable, and naturally elegant.
The tub area didn’t get left behind, either. We refreshed the surround with a matching travertine finish, creating a cohesive look throughout the bathroom. And while the custom frameless glass enclosure is still on its way, the shower space is already functional — we even offered to hang a temporary curtain so there’s no delay in enjoying the new setup.
This remodel wasn’t just about new materials — it was about creating a bathroom that feels safe, stylish, and built to last. From demo to details, this space now tells a brand-new story — one of comfort, care, and everyday ease.
