HISA Custom Tile and Acrylic Shower for Perry

Apr 25, 2025

Turning an outdated and tight shower-tub combo into a stunning, spacious walk-in retreat is no small task—but that’s exactly what we accomplished in this beautifully customized remodel.

The journey began with a full demolition. We carefully removed the existing shower surround, tub, valve, and glass, all while keeping dust to a minimum thanks to our HEPA dust collection system. With everything stripped down, we had a blank canvas to work with—and a vision to bring to life.

At the heart of this transformation is a sleek, white cultured marble pan, custom-built to a roomy 46 x 60 size. To make the space completely barrier-free, we filled in the right side flooring with the homeowner’s choice of mosaic tile and ramped up seamlessly to the pan. No step, no tripping hazard—just clean, functional design. We then prepped and wrapped the shower walls and window in solid-surface acrylic in an elegant Silver White Marble finish, all sealed and protected for long-lasting beauty.

Function was just as important as form. We relocated plumbing, moved electrical outlets to accommodate the expanded layout, and built out the space to include thoughtful touches—like a white padded floating seat, Moen brushed nickel fixtures, and two custom corner shelves. The new rain shower unit with a handheld wand provides a luxurious, spa-like experience, all operated by a Moen Adler valve that’s built to last.

To elevate the look even more, we installed wainscoting in the dry-off area and textured the right side wall for a seamless blend with the rest of the bathroom. And instead of a traditional door, the homeowner opted for custom ½-inch clear glass panels with brushed nickel hardware—no door needed, just clean lines and an open feel. For safety and support, ADA-compliant grab bars were installed and an existing one was re-mounted in a better position.

We also gave attention to every inch of the home we touched. Floors, stairs, and vanities were protected throughout the process. Plumbing was upgraded, framing and drywall repairs were handled with precision, and the outside of the home was patched and sealed where needed.

The result is a bathroom that doesn’t just meet accessibility needs—it’s elegant, efficient, and uniquely tailored to the homeowner’s taste. It’s a remodel that proves you don’t have to sacrifice style for function—you can absolutely have both.
